Peter Bosz has failed to take a giant step in the ranking with Olympique Lyon. On a visit to AS Saint-Étienne, the team looked at a 0-1 lead for a long time, but had to swallow the equalizer in injury time from a penalty by Wahbi Khazri: 1-1. AS Monaco won earlier in the day with convincing numbers from Girondins de Bordeaux (3-0), while Lille OSC continued the good form of recent weeks with a victory over Olympique Marseille: 2-0.

AS Saint-Etienne – Olympique Lyon 1-1
During a visit to AS Saint-Étienne, there seemed to be no problem for Lyon for a long time. The visitors thought they would take the lead via Aouar after two minutes, but the midfielder saw his goal disallowed for offside. The second moment of danger also did not yield a hit for the visitors. Lucas Paquetá passed goalkeeper Etienne Green, but saw his bet go off the line. After a number of lost chances again, Aouar managed to find the net just before half-time. The playmaker took advantage of Paquetá’s good preparatory work and hit the right corner: 0-1.

Barely five minutes after the opening goal, Xherdan Shaqiri thought he had already doubled the score, but he also saw his goal rejected on the advice of the VAR for offside. One of the rare moments when the home team showed up dangerously in front of Anthony Lopes’ goal was after an hour of play via Denis Bouanga. The attacker had a nice solo in the house, but was unhappy in the completion. The turning point in the match was the red card for Lopes fifteen minutes before time. The goalkeeper made hands outside the penalty area and had to attack early. To make matters worse, Bosz saw the home team come alongside in the final minute. After a handball from substitute Jason Denayer, the ball hit the spot, after which Khazri was accurate from eleven meters: 1-1.

Lille OSC – Olympique Marseille 2-0
After an extremely rough start to the season, Lille OSC is in good form in Ligue 1 with its third win in a row. The score was opened after half an hour of play by Jonathan David, who was in the right place from a rebound: 1-0. Marseille did have opportunities through Mattéo Guendouzi and Cengiz Ünder, among others, but when the latter had to act fifteen minutes before the end with a second yellow card, the resistance of the visitors was broken. The game was decided in stoppage time by Lille. After a quick breakout, Timothy Weah was able to approach goal on the left alone. The attacker kept the overview and offered the unmissable opportunity to David, who made his second of the game: 2-0.

AS Monaco – Girondins de Bordeaux 3-0
Despite a run of five unbeaten duels, Nico Kovac decided to completely change his team for the home game against Girondins de Bordeaux and leave only three men. It would eventually be Aurelien Tchouaméni’s match. The midfielder who came over from Bordeaux last year was in the right place after Wissam Ben Yedder initially failed from a free kick by Aleksandr Golovin. The score was expanded shortly after the break via Golovin, who made his second of the season on a pass from Ben Yedder. The final score was determined by Ben Yedder, who was allowed to build after more than an hour of play from eleven meters after a foul by Mexer on Sofiane Diop: 3-0. Myron Boadu, who came in twenty minutes before time, was unable to distinguish himself.
