UEFA announced on Saturday the European game schedules of the group stages of all European tournaments. Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord and AZ therefore know what to expect in the coming months. Ajax starts with a home match against Rangers, while Feyenoord has to travel immediately to the difficult away match at Lazio. PSV starts in Eindhoven against FK Bodø/Glimt.

For Calvin Bassey, the schedule immediately means a reunion with his old club. The team from Amsterdam will kick off against Rangers on Wednesday, September 7 at 6.45 pm. Ajax’s last group match is also against the team of trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who is highly regarded in Scotland after reaching the group stage of the million-dollar ball.

PSV will start the Europa League on Thursday 8 September at 6.45 pm with a home match against Bodø/Glimt. In the second round of play, the Eindhoven fans can already travel to London for a beautiful poster against Arsenal. PSV also ends the group stage against Bodø/Glimt. Three days later, the Eredivisie squatter against Ajax is on the program.

Feyenoord will start the European campaign on Thursday, September 8 at 9 p.m. with an away game at Lazio. The Rotterdammers have to do it in Rome without accompanying fans, because of a penalty that UEFA handed out earlier. The last time Feyenoord was in Rome, the fans traveled en masse to the Italian capital and things went very wrong there. For example, an old fountain was demolished and there were many other incidents. Feyenoord closes with a home game against Lazio.

AZ starts in the group stage of the Conference League with a home game against Ukrainian Dnipro-1. Because of the war in Ukraine, the game will be played in Slovakia. A week later, AZ receives FC Vaduz in the AFAS Stadium. AZ’s match against Apollon Limassol is also played in another stadium. Limassol plays European home games at the GSP Stadium, which is located in Nicosia. The Cyprus national team normally plays all home matches there. The stadium is also the only UEFA-approved stadium in the country.
