Tottenham Hotspur is in extensive negotiations with Juventus about a rental deal for Dejan Kulusevski, report The Athletic and GOAL. The Spurs thought to bring in Adama Traoré for the right wing, but the 26-year-old wing striker of Wolverhampton Wanderers opts for Barcelona. Kulusevski has already given his yes to Tottenham.

Kulusevski, 21, is a valued force at Juventus, but has spent about half of his time on the bench in Turin this season. The Swedish winger may leave Juventus after signing Dusan Vlahovic. Antonio Conte emphatically urged Tottenham for reinforcements and, together with Fabio Paratici, ended up at Kulusevski. Paratici worked for eleven years as a technical director of Juventus and also brought the attacker in at that club in 2020. Paratici left for Tottenham last summer.

It is expected that Tottenham and la Vecchia Signora arrive at a rental agreement with possibly an option to purchase. Kulusevski can be seen as a third choice for Tottenham, as the Londoners were also busy with Luis Díaz in addition to Traoré. Tottenham wanted to pay 45 million euros including bonuses for the 25-year-old wing striker, but Porto is sticking to an asking price of 60 million euros. Liverpool hijacked the transfer on Friday and put that amount on the table.
