Crysencio Summerville was once again of great value to Leeds United on Saturday. The 22-year-old forward scored twice against Rotherham United, who were beaten 3-0. Number three Leeds therefore remains a serious contender for automatic promotion to the Premier League. Summerville now has 14 goals and 7 assists in 28 matches in the Championship this season.

Particularities:

Leeds started the home game energetically and took the lead after ten minutes through Patrick Bamford. Summerville only handed over his calling card after the break. The wing attacker scored the 2-0 shortly after half-time after a smooth counter by Leeds. After an hour of play, he took advantage of a penalty that he himself had caused via a Panenka. Shortly after the 3-0, Summerville was relieved by Joël Piroe. The Leeds fans gave the former Feyenoord player a standing ovation.

With his double against Rotherham, Summerville comes close to top scorer Sammie Szmodics, who has scored seventeen times on behalf of Blackburn Rovers so far. Only Morgan Whittaker (sixteen goals for Plymouth Argyle) and Adam Armstrong (fifteen goals for Southampton) have also scored more times than Summerville in the Championship.
