Marcos Senesi will play for Bournemouth for the next four seasons. The Argentine defender has been officially presented by the Premier League-promoter, who is transferring at least €15 million to Feyenoord for the services of the left leg. That amount can increase due to bonuses. The departure of Senesi means another great loss for the Rotterdam club.

Last week, Bournemouth and West Ham United showed interest in Senesi. The Argentine defender quickly made the decision himself and wanted to go for the Cherries after which he reached a personal agreement with the club promoted to the Premier League. After that it was up to Feyenoord and Bournemouth to get out and that has now been successful. Reportedly, the Rotterdam club will receive at least fifteen million euros for the mandekker.

Feyenoord has been preparing for a departure from Senesi in recent weeks by attracting Jacob Rasmussen. Nevertheless, after the final departure of the Argentinian, Feyenoord will once again enter the transfer market for a left-footed central defender. The name of Dávid Hancko often fell around the Rotterdam club in recent weeks and 1908.nl assumes that Feyenoord will now once again become concrete for the Slovak stopper of Sparta Prague.

Senesi still had a contract in Rotterdam until mid-2023. Feyenoord reportedly had a unilateral option to stick to it for a year, but the Rotterdammers consciously choose not to do that. The club management already took into account that Senesi could no longer be kept in Rotterdam and wanted to think along with the Argentinian. He came over for seven million euros from Argentinian San Lorenzo in the summer of 2019 and that club is now also benefiting from the upcoming transfer. Reportedly, Feyenoord must transfer ten percent of the profit over Senesi to Argentina.
