Leon Goretzka will not be available for Bayern Munich for the next two months due to a knee injury, Germany reported SPORT1 Monday afternoon. In any case, Goretzka will not go on a training camp to the United States, but also seems to have to miss a large part of the start of the season.

Although Bayern itself has not yet indicated an exact recovery time through the official channels, the German medium reports that Goretzka will be out for at least six to eight weeks. The German was recently successfully operated on his knee and is now recovering. The dynamic midfielder seems to be Ryan Gravenberch’s biggest competitor in Munich. Earlier it was announced that Marcel Sabitzer may leave with a good offer.

Gravenberch was presented to the public for the first time in the Allianz Arena on Saturday during the Bayern open day. He also spoke for himself. The midfielder is confident in the number of minutes he will get from Julian Nagelsmann. “My decision was made quickly. Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world and the biggest for me. If I perform well, I will play,” said Gravenberch.

Reigning champions Bayern open the season on July 30 with a match for the German Supercup against RB Leipzig. The Bundesliga starts a week later. Bayern open the competition with an away game against the winner of the Europa League, Eintracht Frankfurt. In addition to Gravenberch, Noussair Mazraoui and Sadio Mané were attracted by Der Rekordmeister. Matthijs de Ligt is also expected to join the European superpower very soon.
