Ajax failed to get a result against Hannover 96. The two teams met in a friendly match at the training camp in Cádiz. The youthful Ajax was no match for the German reserve team. The number eight of the 2. Bundesliga ultimately achieved a 0-3 victory after missing several chances in the first half.

Ajax started with a striking midfield. Ahmetcan Kaplan was stationed as number six and formed the midfield together with Anass Salah-Eddine and Gabriel Misehouy. Up front, Carlos Forbs, Chuba Akpom and Amourricho van Axel Dongen had to score the goals.

The team from Amsterdam really started the practice match in a dramatic manner. After John van 't Schip's team was unable to clear the ball at the back, they finally scored early in the match via Julian Börner after three goal attempts: 0-1.

Captain Gerónimo Rulli made two excellent saves in the following minutes to prevent the Germans from gaining further distance from Ajax in the first half. The record champion offered very little in return. In fact, no significant opportunity was created in the first act.

The start of the second half was even worse. Fifteen minutes into the second half hour it was suddenly 0-3 for Hannover. The Germans could easily attack on the left flank, after which a cross was knocked in by Havard Nielsen: 0-2.

The third goal also came five minutes later. Muhammed Damar defeated Anton Gaaei in a sprint duel, easily defeated Jakov Medic and passed Rulli through his legs: 0-3.

Even in the second half, poor Ajax hardly managed to create good clear-cut chances. A long shot by Van Axel Dongen turned out to be a poor highlight. The second game with Hannover is scheduled for Sunday. Then the A-teams play against each other.
