Pascal Struijk may make a transfer after this season. The 21-year-old defender of Leeds United has claimed The Telegraph in the spotlight at Leicester City and Napoli. The number three in the Premier League and number seven in the Serie A have already inquired about the services of Struijk, who has also been used as a controlling midfielder at Leeds this season.

Struijk has developed strongly this season in the team of manager Marcelo Bielsa. He can now call himself a regular basic player and appeared ten times in a row at the kick-off at the current number twelve of the Premier League in recent weeks. The former youth player of ADO Den Haag and Ajax is under contract with Leeds United until mid-2024. Transfer market estimates its market value at 2.5 million euros.

Struijk seems to have to make a choice about his international career in the short term. He was born in Belgium and can therefore also play for the Red Devils. According to Belgian media, national coach Roberto Martínez, who already spoke to him by phone, is very charmed by the Dutchman and is considering sending him an invitation for the upcoming international match. The Belgian Football Association has already confirmed that Struijk has applied for a Belgian passport.

With a view to this year’s European Championship and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Martínez wants to implement a rejuvenation process for the Belgian team. Defenders such as Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld are approaching the end of their international career and as far as the new generation of defenders is concerned, Struijk is a serious option for the Spanish trainer. The 1.90 meter long central defender has made a big impression this season with his performances on behalf of Leeds United.
