Paris Saint-Germain has failed to take over the top position in Ligue 1. Luis Enrique’s team failed to score a single goal when they visited last-place Clermont Foot: 0-0. It was already the fourth time in seven competition matches that the Parisians lost points. PSG is second but can be overtaken by numerous teams this round. Clermont climbs from last place and is now seventeenth.

Luis Enrique decided to switch to a system with three centre-backs and wingbacks. Gonçalo Ramos finally scored his first two goals for PSG against Olympique Marseille (4-0 win), but had to give up his place in the striker against Clermont to Randal Kolo Muani. The striker, acquired from Eintracht Frankfurt, was flanked by Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé.

The home team had a difficult start and needed an emergency intervention from Milan Skriniar in the opening phase, who blocked Cheick Oumar Konaté’s shot at the last moment.
