Paris Saint-Germain are on six points after two matches in Ligue 1. The home match against Montpellier was simply won by the capitals: 5-2. Neymar scored two goals and Kylian Mbappe also played a leading role, although not always in a positive sense.

Christophe Galtier, PSG’s trainer, chose his strongest formation. That meant that Lionel Messi, Neymar and Mbappe were at the forefront and that all creativity had to come from those three. Mbappe, however, soon showed a lesser side, as he missed a penalty in the first half. Jonas Omlin, the goalkeeper of Montpellier, was able to easily tap the effort of the French top striker out of the corner.

Moments later, Omlin had no chance, but that was due to an own player. Mbappé shot the ball from the right against Falaye Sacko, who was shocked to see that the leather then rolled over the line. When the ball hit the spot again for PSG moments later and Neymar completed that job (2-0), it was clear that the Parisians would win the match.

After the break, Neymar increased the score even further, but the visitors also gave something back via Wahbi Khazri. In the end, it ended with goals from Mbappé, Renato Sanches and Enzo Tchato at 5-2. After two rounds, PSG is in the place where it is often in France: at the top. With six points from two games and a good goal difference, it has already taken the first steps towards a new national title. Olympique Marseille, RC Lens, Olympique Lyon and Lorient can also come in six out of two on Sunday.
