Marciano Vink did not expect Peter Bosz to perform so well with PSV, as the analyst made clear prior to the match between SC Heerenveen and the Eindhoven team. Partly based on the past, Vink had expected that PSV would suffer a setback, but that never came.

PSV still has a chance to become champion with the fewest goals conceded ever. So far, Bosz's team has conceded seventeen goals, while Ajax (1972/73) and PSV themselves (2004/05) have the record of eighteen goals conceded.

“Prior to the season, I did not expect that PSV would concede so few goals,” says Vink in front of the camera. ESPN. “I will be very honest, because if you see it wrong, you have to admit it.”

“I thought of Peter Bosz, especially based on his time at Olympique Lyon and Borussia Dortmund, that his football is spectacular at the start, but then some players cannot cope.”

“But I swallow all my words, I really saw that wrong. He is really having a fantastic season and I think he has also learned a lot abroad. He has now taken those boys to a higher level, so I think that's great,” Vink concludes.

Bosz himself is also proud of his team's performance. What's the secret? “We have good football players, and ultimately as a coach you always depend on that.”

“Those guys are just doing well. Defending also starts with us at the front. We put a lot of pressure there, so you get into fewer problems in midfield. And that means your defense will have fewer problems,” says Bosz.
