Klaas Dijkhoff will join PSV’s supervisory board, as the people of Eindhoven communicate through the official channels. After Robert van der Wallen had succeeded Jan Albers as chairman of the supervisory board, a place had become vacant in PSV’s supervisory body. Forty-year-old Dijkhoff was in the House of Representatives for the VVD until March 2021.

Dijkhoff had been a Member of Parliament since 2010 and held the positions of Minister of Defense, State Secretary for Security and Justice and party chairman of the VVD. On March 30, Dijkhoff left politics and the House of Representatives behind and is now going to work at PSV, the club of which he has been a fan all his life. “I am honored to be able to commit myself to my club as a commissioner”, Dijkhoff says on the PSV website.

“As a menneke, it soon became clear that my talent is not in my legs. Then I shifted my football dreams from the field to the boardroom. We also need to perform as a team at the conference tables in order to increase the chance of success within the lines and to honor our club feeling and the supporters ”, says Dijkhoff. Chairman of the Supervisory Board Van der Wallen is also pleased with the appointment of Dijkhoff.

“Klaas doesn’t really need an introduction, but his heart for PSV, his experiences in the complex political world and especially his strength to always stay close to himself, fit perfectly with the core values of PSV,” said the chairman of the board. In addition to Van der Wallen and Dijkhoff, the PSV Supervisory Board also consists of Ton van Veen, Hans van Breukelen and Ingrid Wolf.
