Peter Bosz is in the interest of Wolverhampton Wanderers, reports The Telegraph Monday night. The trainer must the Wolves become the successor of Bruno Lage, who was recently fired. Bosz’s employment at Olympique Lyon came to an end last week.

According to reports, Wolverhampton is hastily looking for a new head coach and the club management has already held talks with Bosz. The former coach of Borussia Dortmund and Ajax, among others, is the main candidate to get started at the Premier League club. The Telegraph writes that Bosz left an excellent impression during the conversations.

Wolverhampton is reportedly in talks with several candidates at short notice, but would like to appoint a new manager before next week. Previously, there was also speculation about a spectacular return of success trainer Nuno Espirito Santo, but that option no longer seems serious. The name of Julen Lopetegui, who was fired from Sevilla, also fell. It is as yet unclear whether the Spanish coach has already met with the club management of Wolverhampton.

Bosz was evicted by Lyon last week after the French lost four times and drew once in their last five league games. The coach was appointed in May 2021 and finished eighth in Ligue 1 in his first season, missing out on a ticket to European football. Nevertheless, chairman Jean-Michel Aulas kept faith in the trainer, who was allowed to start a second year. A few months later, however, it was decided to prematurely end the collaboration. Previously, Bosz was BILD already linked to VfB Stuttgart.
