Robert Lewandowski continues to rage in the Bundesliga. The Bayern Munich striker added two hits against Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday evening and is now on seven goals after four games in the Bundesliga. With that, Lewandowski is on track to take the season record from Gerd Müller; the legendary former striker scored 40 league goals in Germany in the 1971/72 season. Bayern won the game with large numbers: 1-4. Ritsu Doan, who was loaned out by PSV, made a good impression on the side of Arminia and signed for the home team’s only goal.

Bayern opened fire on Arminia’s goal from the start signal. That already led to a goal from Thomas Müller in the eighth minute. The attacking midfielder was beautifully released by Robert Lewandowski, saw his cross on Alphonso Davies fail, but was able to tap in the rebound himself: 0-1. It took until the 26th minute for Bayern to make his second. Leon Goretzka played to Lewandowski, who took on the edge of the box and selected the left corner: 0-2.

Lewandowski scored again in the injury time of the first half. The striker was played by Müller in the sixteen and saw his shot roll into the goal through the body of defender Amos Pieper: 0-3. Lewandowski had the hat-trick on his shoe shortly after the break, but this time it was unlucky that his bet came back into the field via the crossbar. The Polish striker did deliver a perfect low cross to Müller in the 51st minute, who entered the ball at the first post: 0-4.

The game was therefore long and wide, but Arminia did something in return. Doan sprinted forward on a counter by the home team and got the ball on the edge of the box. The Japanese outplayed Benjamin Pavard with scissors and found the far corner with a dry bang: 1-4. Doan, who personally played an excellent match, hit the bar a little later via Niklas Süle’s leg. Bayern did not complete the match with eleven men: Corentin Tolisso tried to stop the broken Fabian Klos with a sliding, but hit the striker’s legs and got red.
