Paris Saint-Germain took a point on Wednesday in the Ligue 1. For a long time it looked like Mauricio Pochettino’s team would suffer a defeat against Lorient, but in stoppage time Mauro Icardi equalized: 1-1. At the same time, Justin Kluivert played a crucial role on behalf of OGC Nice, as he scored the winning goal against RC Lens: 2-1. AS Monaco was 2-1 too strong for Stade Rennes.

Lorient – Paris Saint Germain 1-1
Already in the second minute of play it turned out that the Parisians, with Georginio Wijnaldum, were not lucky. After an excellent pass from Nuno Mendes, Icardi had an excellent opportunity to score the opening goal, but the striker shot just wide. Lorient got the first serious chance in the tenth minute of play. Terem Moffi also worked the ball just wide of the goal. Halfway through the first act, Lionel Messi failed to open the scoring. From the edge of the box, the Argentinian shot from the air towards the far corner, but his attempt bounced off the post. It was the sixth time this season that he hit the standing aluminum.

The hitherto disappointing evening took a turn for the worse when the fortieth minute of play arrived. On the edge of the box, Enzo Le Fee laid the ball for Thomas Monconduit. The midfielder didn’t take the ball and drove the ball into the intersection with a devastating shot. In the second company, Ángel Di María should have equalized on the pass of Messi, but the attacker inexplicably failed to score. Sergio Ramos only came in after the break. However, the center defender was allowed to take a shower before the end of the game, as he received a yellow print in both the 81st and 85th minute. Still, PSG came alongside with ten men. Icardi scored the equalizer in the 91st minute. Xavi Simons got no playing minutes.

OGC Nice – RC Lens 2-1
After half an hour of play, Christophe Galtier’s team did not get the ball away after a corner, after which the well-run Arnaud Kalimuendo finally shot the ball from the right under goalkeeper Walter Benitez: 0-1. OGC Nice, with Pablo Rosario and Kluivert in the starting line-up, came to 1-1 after just over an hour of play: a failed ball control by Rosario turned into a perfect moment for Mario Lemina to shoot the ball with a volley into the right corner . It was Kluivert who scored the winning goal twelve minutes before time. The attacker entered the penalty area on the left and passed keeper Jean-Louis Leca with a shot into the short corner: 2-1. Kluivert also hit the aluminum just before time. Calvin Stengs stayed on the bench for 90 minutes.

Girondins Bordeaux – Lille OSC 2-3
Javairô Dilrosun had a base place at Bordeaux after three matches as a substitute, while Lille took office with Sven Botman. In the eighteenth minute, the home team took the lead: Alberth Elis received the ball at the far post from Timothée Pembélé and completed it easily. Shortly afterwards, Botman steamed up and served Benjamin André in the ashes of the field, who flipped the ball for himself and searched the right corner from a distance. On the stroke of half-time, Elis made it 2-1 with a punt. After the break, goals by Burak Yilmaz and Jonathan David were disallowed for offside, before Burak made it 2-2 from a penalty after a foul by Ricardo Mangas on Isaac Lihadji. Thanks to a controlled shot by David, Lille even took the full loot from Bordeaux.

AS Monaco – Stade Rennes 2-1
Monaco, with Myron Boadu on the bench, fell behind for its own audience after fifteen minutes. Martin Terrier combined with Gaetan Laborde in the penalty area and had enough room for a shot into the right corner: 1-0. Twenty minutes later, Rennes came alongside from a penalty kick. Hamari Traoré started a handball after a header by Caio Henrique, after which Wissam Ben Yedder made no mistake from the penalty spot. Eighteen minutes before the end, Monaco completed the comeback. After a shot by Sofiane Diop, Kevin Volland saw his chance for a header into the left corner. Boadu was allowed to participate in Monaco for another nine minutes as a replacement for Ben Yedder.
