Javairô Dilrosun will play for Girondins de Bordeaux for the rest of the season, the Ligue 1 club announced. The attacker is leased from Hertha BSC, which has also agreed to an option to buy in the lease. It is already his third club abroad for 23-year-old Dilrosun.

Dilrosun made the switch from Ajax to Manchester City in 2014. The winger never made his appearance in the main squad and signed a four-season contract with Hertha in the summer of 2018. In his first three seasons, the attacker made 56 matches in all competitions and this football year he also participated in three matches. He played 70 minutes in the 5-0 defeat to Bayern Munich last weekend.

However, Dilrosun now takes on a new challenge. “Javairô is a very special player,” said technical director Admar Lopes through the official channels of the wine city club. “He has very specific qualities. I am convinced that he will adapt very quickly to the trainer’s system.”

Dilrosun, who played his first and for the time being only international match for the Dutch national team in November 2018, was also in the picture at Feyenoord earlier this summer as the successor of Steven Berghuis who left for Ajax. Technical director Frank Arnesen confirmed that he had been in contact with the attacker at the beginning of July, but in the end there was no cooperation between club and player.
