Florian Grillitsch seems completely at home in the south of Germany again. The midfielder did not make it at Ajax and returned to TSG Hoffenheim, where he scored a fantastic goal from his own half on Saturday. Partly because of this, the club won 1-3 against 1. FC Köln. In addition to Grillitsch, Wout Weghorst also started at Hoffenheim.

Andrej Kramaric, Weghorst’s partner in the striker, shot in a corner kick at the far post in the first minute: 0-1. The moment of glory for Grillitsch followed in the 28th minute. Köln goalkeeper Marvin Schwabe came incredibly far from his goal, almost to the halfway line. The keeper was able to clear the ball with a sliding, but it ended up at Grillitsch via an intermediate station. The midfielder did not hesitate and shot the ball beautifully into his own half: 0-2.

Hoffenheim’s third goal, just after half-time, was also of great beauty. Maximilian Beier dribbled in from the left and curled the ball beautifully into the far cross: 0-3. In the 61st minute, Köln came back to 1-3, when Davie Selke surprised goalkeeper Oliver Baumann with a diagonal shot between his legs. In injury time, Köln defender Rasmus Carstensen received his second yellow card, but there were no more goals.
