Bryan Linssen has opposite on Thursday evening ESPN confirmed that there is interest in him. The attacker can leave Feyenoord after this season and is said to be screening with interest from Japan, but he says he was not concerned with the rumors during the duel with Olympique Marseille. “I can deny it, but of course there is something going on,” Linssen was open about the possibility of making a transfer after this season.

Linssen acknowledges that there is interest in him. “But at the moment I have really only focused on this match. I mean that sincerely, because this is a once in a lifetime is.” Linssen will have time in the coming weeks to think about a possible next step. “Now I have at least two weeks to answer a few emails,” the attacker continues. “As soon as we go back to the final, I don’t want to hear anything about it. There is only one thing that counts. I want to win that award because that’s never going to happen to me after that. We will do everything we can.”

Reported a week and a half ago Football International that Linssen is in the interest of Urawa Red Diamonds. Feyenoord will not stand in the way of a possible switch and gives the attacker the space to negotiate with the Japanese. However, the club will be able to look forward to a transfer fee, since Linssen’s contract will continue for another year after this season. It is not known whether he sees a move to Japan himself, although Linssen has never made it a secret that he would like to take a step abroad. Two years ago, the veteran seemed to opt for a foreign step after his transfer-free departure from Vitesse, but accepted an offer from Feyenoord at the last minute.

Linssen enjoyed the hostile atmosphere in Marseille around the semi-final on Thursday evening. Feyenoord’s team bus was pelted on its way to the stadium and it was also hostile in the stadium. “It was a hot night. It is also part of such a competition, you adjust to it. The sound in the stadium, the atmosphere and the fireworks before the match. I had pain in my nose and my eyes, but it was so bad to experience. Especially if you eventually go to the final and leave here euphoric, it couldn’t be better.”
