Eduardo Camavinga is going to exchange Stade Rennais for Real Madrid, so know Canal+ and TF1 to report. L’Equipe reported last week that the eighteen-year-old midfielder would probably leave Stade Rennais soon. That now seems to be the case, as the French television channel is already reporting a medical examination. Other international media are more cautious and state that there are “advanced negotiations” between the two clubs.

Canal+ mentions an agreement between Real Madrid and Stade Rennais, apart from a few small details. TF1 adds that the transfer fee will be between 28 and 30 million euros, excluding bonuses. Le Parisien and Goal report that there are indeed ‘advanced negotiations’, but add that there is as yet no agreement.

Fabrizio Romano also states that there is no agreement between Real Madrid and Stade Rennais for the time being. According to the transfer market expert, the Spanish top club has made an official offer for the French midfielder. “The deal is not yet 100 percent complete, but negotiations are well advanced. Camavinga wants to leave Stade Rennais,” Romano wrote. He reports that Real Madrid has made an offer of more than thirty million euros. Camavinga has already reached a personal agreement with the Royal on a contract that runs until mid-2026.

Stade Rennais has tried in vain in recent months to break open and extend the eighteen-year-old midfielder’s contract that runs until mid-2022. To prevent him from walking out on a free transfer in a year’s time, the club is committed to getting rid of him in the remaining eight days of the current transfer window. The market value of Camavinga is increased by Transfermarkt estimated at 55 million euros.

Camavinga, who was trained by Stade Rennais, broke through in the main squad of the French club two seasons ago. The three-time French international has made 88 official appearances for Stade Rennais, scoring 2 goals and 5 assists. Last weekend he seems to have played his last game for the club as a substitute against SCO Angers. He has also recently been linked to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, among others.
