Ritsu Doan hopes to leave PSV on the final day of the transfer window for a switch to the Bundesliga. It Eindhovens Dagblad and Football International report that FC Augsburg, FSV Mainz 05 and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are in the market for the 23-year-old Japanese attacker, but that these clubs are currently struggling with the asking price of 6.5 million euros. As a result, it seems that Doan will remain at PSV for the time being.

Doan is already in Japan, preparing for the World Cup qualifying matches against Oman and China. There is a medical team there ready to check him if necessary, but for the time being it does not appear that they have to take action. Doan’s management held talks in Germany on Monday with FC Augsburg, FSV Mainz 05 and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The conclusion of this is that the Bundesliga clubs are struggling with PSV’s asking price for Doan’s contract, which runs until mid-2024.

PSV seems to want to recoup a considerable part of the 7.5 million euros paid to FC Groningen in 2019. Doan is well into the market in Germany after a loan spell with Arminia Bielefeld, for whom he scored 5 goals and 3 assists in 34 Bundesliga games last season. Furthermore, Érick Gutiérrez and Dante Rigo also seem to stay at PSV. Although the Mexican midfielder’s entourage spoke to Torino, the Italian club took no further concrete action. Rigo is not allowed to play for Jong PSV and is not in the plans for the main force, only there is no concrete interest at the moment.

Santiago Arias
The name of Santiago Arias has been around at PSV lately, but there is no sign of a return. The 29-year-old Colombian fullback will be loaned to Granada by Atlético Madrid next season. Rik Elfrink, PSV watcher for the Eindhovens Dagblad, emphasizes via Twitter that PSV has also not been in the market for Arias, who previously played in Eindhoven between 2013 and 2018 and was sold to Atlético for 11 million euros.
