Youssoufa Moukoko is refusing to extend his contract with Borussia Dortmund for the time being BILD and Ruhr Nachrichten† The only seventeen-year-old top talent has little appetite to compete with Karim Adeyemi and Sébastien Haller and is therefore considering his options. Dortmund is in the stomach with Moukoko’s contract situation, especially because the attacker has only been signed for one more year.

Moukoko saw his biggest competitor move to the striker position due to the transfer of Erling Braut Haaland to Manchester City and hopes for a serious chance under the new coach Edin Terzic. Moukoko, however, doubts whether it will come, now that Dortmund will also hire Haller in addition to Adeyemi (acquired for thirty million euros from Red Bull Salzburg). The striker of Ajax has not yet arrived, but according to The Telegraph change quickly: there is an agreement for a transfer worth 31 million euros (plus 4 million euros in almost certain bonuses).

Although Moukoko is only seventeen years old, the attacker wants to make more minutes next season. That chance does not seem great at his current club, where Donyell Malen is also still under contract as a competitor. Last football year, Moukoko only made one base place and fifteen raids in the Bundesliga. That was partly due to two injuries, which kept him out of circulation for weeks.

Moukoko recently hinted that he was not unhappy with the departure of Marco Rose, who was sacked by Dortmund after a disappointing season. “I get the confidence of the new coach here,” Moukoko said recently Sky Deutschland† “He told me from the start that he is counting on me. That gave me a lot of confidence,” said the attacker, who clearly did not feel the confidence of Rose.
