Donny van de Beek will not play on Sunday afternoon during Everton’s away game against West Ham United. The midfielder initially had a basic place in the team of manager Frank Lampard. However, Van de Beek sustained an injury during the warm-up and had to be replaced in the starting eleven by Mason Holgate.

Football Daily shares images showing Van de Beek shaking his head. The midfielder then completed a separate warm-up and left for the catacombs earlier, but turns out to be having too much trouble to start in the London Stadium. It is not clear what exactly is bothering Van de Beek, but Lampard had to replace him in his team with Holgate.

With the absence of Van de Beek, the concerns for Lampard increase, as he cannot rely on the suspended Allan and the injured André Gomes. Partly because of this, he has to post Holgate – by nature a center or wing defender – in midfield. Everton, the number seventeen in the Premier League, must win a visit to West Ham United to distance themselves from the relegation zone.
