Johan Derksen returned to television on Monday evening in his own way. The analyst explained at the return of Today Inside once again took his side of the story and expressed regret to ‘the real victims of sexual violence’. “But for all those people at those talk show tables who wanted to score and shouted ‘who have to apologize to Derksen, I only have one gesture,'” said Derksen, who then raised his middle finger.

Before that, Derksen had explained why he stopped. “I can withstand the noise that the woke community made, but I stopped when I got the impression that Talpa was not behind us either. And then an embarrassing press release came out from Talpa, which Hélène (Hendriks, ed. ) that evening neatly read in HLF8“, says Derksen, who is corrected by Wilfred Genee: Leonie ter Braak was a presenter that evening and she read the message. “But it said that we would humbly apologize at 21.30 …”

That was reason for Derksen to adopt a recalcitrant attitude. “I think: Even if I drop dead here, I still won’t do it. It’s very simple: I was just fed up with it. Then you get the problem of all those people at those talk show tables, who are going to demand very politically correct that I have to apologize. I have to say ‘sorry’ or ‘I’m sorry’. But they don’t have to bring me the words and I had already distanced myself from them during the broadcast.

Yet Derksen – albeit in other words – comes up with a kind of excuse. “My wife has made it clear to me that I could have hurt the people who are really affected by sexual violence and that was never my intention.”
