West Ham United are making great progress in talks over the arrival of Arnaut Danjuma, Fabrizio Romano reports. The 25-year-old Villarreal winger is set to be one of the “statement transfers” Londoners are closing this summer in hopes of linking up with the six Premier League superpowers. An agreement is expected for just under 45 million euros.

Danjuma was also linked to Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain this calendar year, but a transfer to the absolute elite has not yet become concrete. West Ham United therefore has excellent papers for the attacker, who has not yet discussed his personal terms with the Hammers† Danjuma has previously said he is dreaming of a breakthrough in the Premier League after already excelling in the Championship at Bournemouth.

West Ham has been trying to connect with the top clubs from the highest English division for years, but had to take it more than last season. Due to the seventh final ranking, the Londoners are sentenced to play in the Conference League. That would not be a decline for Danjuma, because after a season in the Champions League, Villarreal will also play in the third European club tournament next year. Danjuma produced 16 goals and 4 assists in 34 appearances in his first year in Spain. He has now played six games (two goals) for the the Dutch squad.

Danjuma is certainly not the only intended reinforcement of West Ham. David Moyes is pushing for the arrival of Armando Broja, who was loaned out by Chelsea to Southampton last season. The twenty-year-old striker seems to be able to leave Chelsea once the Londoners have completed the spectacular arrival of Raphinha (Leeds United). West Ham has also made a contract proposal to Jesse Lingard, who is still thinking about his future after his departure from Manchester United. With Alphonse Aréola (Paris Saint-Germain) and Nayef Aguerd (Stade Rennes), West Ham have already brought in a goalkeeper and a defender respectively.
