Paris Saint-Germain won at the last minute against Stade Brest on Sunday afternoon. In the 89th minute, the Parisians were awarded a penalty, which was initially saved by Marco Bizot, but was scored on the rebound: 2-3. With the victory, PSG remain in the wake of leader OGC Nice, one point away.

The well-performing Stade Brest, with the strong goalkeeping Bizot between the posts, is in fifth place in the French league. Compared to the 3-0 win against AC Milan, Enrique made a number of changes again. It was at the expense of the starting place of Ousmane Dembélé, among others.

The Parisians hit the starting blocks in the first half. After just fifteen minutes of play, Warren Zaire-Emery beautifully gave the away team the lead. The talented midfielder received the ball after a good action from Bradley Barcola and scored with a devastating shot: 0-1.

The doubling of the margin did not take long. During a lightning-fast counter after a Brest corner, Kang-in Lee launched the lightning-fast Mbappé. The Frenchman was a bit lucky to hit a defensive leg, but the ball rolled into the net: 0-2.

After PSG should have made it 0-3, it was scored at the other end. Steve Mounie
escaped the attention of the PSG defenders and scored in the far corner: 1-2. Shortly after the break, the home team came alongside again.

Jérémy Le Douaron was outlawed from a corner. The wing attacker turned the ball into the far corner with a header: 2-2. For a long time that seemed to be the final score, until after long deliberation, PSG were awarded a penalty in the absolute final phase.

Mbappé went behind the ball, but Bizot seemed to become Brest’s hero with a save. However, the ball rolled right back to Mbappé, after which it was a breeze for the French superstar to shoot the ball: 2-3.
