A delegation from the club recently spoke to the Englishman in London, and had a positive feeling about it. The 24-year-old West Ham United midfielder is highly sought after by top clubs, making it almost certain that he will leave the Conference League finalist this summer.
“Meeting him in London was positive,” Plettenberg tweeted Friday night. “Rice has been under the impression that he could well envision a move to Bayern. The management has spoken about him again in recent days. Bayern now wants to prepare an official offer as the next step.” According to the journalist, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is particularly charmed by Rice, who still has a contract with West Ham until mid-2024.
