Galatasaray recorded a narrow victory at home over Ankaragücü on Saturday evening. The visitors took the lead immediately after halftime through Renaldo Cephas. However, coach Okan Buruk’s team then recovered thanks to a nice goal by Wilfried Zaha and an own goal by Hayrullah Bilazer: 2-1. Galatasaray can once again call itself the leader of Turkey, although Fenerbahçe can take over first place again on Sunday with a win over Risepor.

Particularities:
Galatasaray, which started with ex-Spartan Halil Dervisoglu and Dries Mertens on the bench, surprisingly fell behind just after half-time due to a goal from Renaldo CephasCephas. Davinson Sánchez continued to cover, after which the Jamaican striker had free passage towards Fernando Muslera thanks to a pass from Efkan Bekiroglu. Face to face with the goalkeeper, Cephas remained cool: 0-1. Cim Bom managed to turn the game around in the remainder of the second half. Zaha evened the score with a hard shot. Bilazer then became the schlemiel on the visitors’ side by sliding the ball into his own goal: 2-1.
