Ajax is heading straight for the championship in the Eredivisie, but the battle for the places below is still undecided. PSV, AZ, Vitesse and Feyenoord all hope to qualify directly for European football. What does their remaining schedule look like and how does the distribution of European tickets work this season?

The national champion of the Eredivisie qualifies for the group stage of the Champions League and the number two enters the second heat of the billions ball. For the other tickets, the outcome of the cup final between Ajax and Vitesse on Sunday April 18 is important. The cup winner is entitled to a ticket for the play-off round of the Europa League. If the cup winner already has a ticket for the Champions League, the ‘cup ticket’ goes to the number three in the Eredivisie. The ticket for the third heat of the Europa Conference League then goes to fourth place.

If Vitesse wins the cup, the final position of the Arnhem team in the ranking is important for the distribution. If they finish in second place, they will receive the ticket for the Champions League preliminary round. If Vitesse finishes third, the club will go to the play-offs of the Europa League. The number four will then receive the ticket for the third heat of the Europa Conference League. In any case, the play-offs go between numbers five to eight, because Vitesse can no longer drop out of the top seven. The winner of the play-offs qualifies for the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League.
