In the winter search for reinforcements, Vitesse ended up with Sontje Hansen from Ajax, among others. According to The Gelderlander PSV player Marco van Ginkel and Wesley Hoedt van Anderlecht are also on the wish list. Rob Jansen’s Wasserman brokerage firm is essential for future transfers, according to the newspaper.

The brokerage firm forms according to The Gelderlander a ‘power bloc’ at Vitesse. The current trainer of the team from Arnhem is Phillip Cocu and he is represented by Wasserman. This also applies to assistant coach Chris van der Weerden and Theo Janssen. It is therefore not a bad idea that ‘home broker’ Jansen will bring in his ‘own players’ as potential reinforcements.

One of them is Hansen. The wing tip of Jong Ajax is still fixed in Amsterdam until June 2023. Although he made his debut for Ajax 1 on December 18, 2019, in the second round of the KNVB Cup against Telstar (4-3 win), he only played for Jong Ajax after that. Vitesse sees in him a ‘gifted talent’, the newspaper knows, and because of the link with Jansen, his future could lie in Arnhem.

The name of Van Ginkel has also fallen at Vitesse. The 29-year-old midfielder received his education at the Arnhemmers and played 111 games before he left for Chelsea in 2013. He hardly gets to play at PSV. “In Arnhem he could play an important role as a leader,” said the newspaper. Cocu and Van der Weerden are familiar with the selection in Eindhoven and earlier this year Vitesse already tried to hire Richard Ledezma from PSV.

According to The Gelderlander Wesley Hoedt’s situation is also being monitored, although a possible switch can become expensive. The ex-defender of AZ got sidetracked at Anderlecht in Brussels and is allowed to leave.
