Branco van den Boomen and Stijn Spierings seem to be busy with their last weeks in the shirt of Toulouse. Both midfielders will be out of contract next summer and can count on quite a bit of interest, reports Football International. PSV, among others, is very interested in both players and the people of Eindhoven see Spierings as the successor to the possible departure of Ibrahim Sangaré. Thijs Dallinga and Zakaria Aboukhlal seem to remain faithful to Toulouse for the time being.

Van den Boomen is once again working on an excellent season at Toulouse. So far he has scored six goals and thirteen assists in 36 official matches. Those statistics have not gone unnoticed, Mike Verweij recently said in the podcast Kick Off by The Telegraph. “There is a lot of interest in Van den Boomen. What he does at Toulouse is incredibly clever. This week it was rumored that he was very much in the interest of Royal Antwerp. I checked with his agents. He is on a list there, but there is now a lot of interest, also due to his contract situation,” says Verweij. Van den Boomen has been frequently linked to Feyenoord and PSV for some time now.

Spierings is also sought after by various top clubs. According to VI the defensive midfielder can count on the interest of clubs from Spain, Italy, England, Turkey and the Netherlands. “There is a lot going on around Stijn,” his agent Ali Dursun told the football magazine. “These are big clubs. With all due respect, Stijn is at an age and at a point in his career where he can and must make a really big step.”

Spierings played in 38 official matches this season, in which he scored three times and provided three assists. Like Van den Boomen, he has been playing at Toulouse since 2020. Last year, the midfielders promoted with Toulouse to Ligue 1, in which it currently occupies thirteenth place. Last Saturday, the club conquered the Coupe de France for the first time in club history, by beating FC Nantes 1-5.
