The individual winners of the Bronze Champion Shields of the third period in the Kitchen Champion Division have been announced. Apostolos Vellios of PEC Zwolle has been named Best Player. Nordin Bakker (Almere City FC) receives the Bronze Championship Shield for Best Goalkeeper. The other individual prize winners are Younes Taha from PEC Zwolle (Best Talent) and Dick Advocaat from ADO Den Haag (Best Trainer). Due to the make-up game between Almere City FC and Jong FC Utrecht, the top scorer will be announced at a later date.
The 31-year-old Vellios was on steam in the match against FC Den Bosch. The Greek striker was four times accurate against the number eighteen of the Kitchen Champion Division. The counter stands at ten goals and six assists this season. Vellios collected the most votes and is therefore the winner of the Bronze Championship Shield for Best Player. The other nominees this period were teammate Lennart Thy (PEC Zwolle), Lance Duijvestijn (Almere City FC) and Odysseus Velanas (NAC Breda).
Dear goalkeeper
Nordin Bakker can call himself the Best Keeper of the period. The goalkeeper managed to leave the competition behind, consisting of Romain Matthys (MVV Maastricht), Ennio van der Gouw (VVV-Venlo) and Liam Bossin (FC Dordrecht) and therefore receives the Bronze Championship Shield for Best Goalkeeper of the third period.
In addition to the honorary titles Best Player and Best Goalkeeper, there is also a Bronze Champion Shield to be awarded in the Best Talent category. Taha from PEC Zwolle provides another double party in Zwolle with his prize. In the second period, Thomas van den Belt and Jasper Schendelaar also took home a Bronze Championship Shield. The twenty-year-old midfielder of PEC made the most impression and that is why he receives the Bronze Championship Shield for Best Talent.
Dick Advocaat is awarded his Bronze Champion Shield after an impressive third period. The team from The Hague managed to win five times and now has the left row and participation in the Kitchen Champion Play-Offs in sight. The Bronze Championship Shield for the Top Scorer will be awarded at a later date because of the make-up game between Almere City FC and Jong FC Utrecht.
