PEC Zwolle booked a simple home win against NAC Breda on Friday evening: 2-0. Dean Huiberts and Lennart Thy were responsible for the Zwolle hits in the MAC3PARK Stadium, bringing the championship in the Kitchen Champion Division a little closer. Competitor Heracles Almelo also won, so the difference in points is still six. Heracles, however, still has a make-up game to go.
On the side of PEC, Younes Taha and Apostolos Vellios won prizes before the game. The latter won a Bronze Shield as the best player of the third period, while Taha can call himself the best talent. The leader from Zwolle faced a defensive NAC on Friday evening. After the 2-6 defeat against Jong Ajax last Monday, trainer Peter Hyballa put down his defense extra compact. The Zwollenars hardly managed to play football through that. Partly because of this, the glasses position was still on the scoreboard at the halftime signal.

After the break it was immediately hit for the team of trainer Dick Schreuder. Sabir Agougil received a mediocre ball from Roy Kortsmit and then immediately tried to bounce it back. Huiberts managed to take advantage of the soft back pass to punish Breda’s fumbling: 1-0. Subsequently, the same Huiberts failed to double the score, when Kortsmit was able to save with a great chance from the Kampenaar.
In the 84th minute, Thy secured victory for his club. The German striker first watched as teammate Thomas van den Belt hit the crossbar with a header, before being the first to nod in on the rebound: 2-0. After that, the victory was not in danger for PEC for a second, because NAC simply had little to contribute offensively. After Hyballa cracked his defense on Monday, he will now be less satisfied with his team’s offensive play.
