PSV will play in the return leg of the third preliminary round of the Champions League on Tuesday evening in the same line-up as during the first game in France (1-1). Guus Til and Ismael Saibari once again get a basic place in Ruud van Nistelrooij’s team, which means that Xavi Simons and Johan Bakayoko start on the reserve bench. At Monaco, Sofiane Diop is sacrificed for Eliot Matazo.

Walter Benítez is therefore again assigned the place under the bar by Van Nistelrooij. At right back, Phillipp Mwene returns to the starting line-up for Ki-Jana Hoever. The Austrian was rested last Saturday in the won competition match against FC Emmen (4-1). The central duo remains unchanged with Jordan Teze and Armando Obispo, while Philipp Max can once again defend the left wing.

Til is again the most attacking man in midfield, which is at the expense of the talented Simons, who was allowed to play against Emmen for ninety minutes. The indisputable Ibrahim Sangaré and Joey Veerman once again form the controlling block behind Til. Against the Emmenaren, Mexican Érick Gutiérrez was still in the place of Sangaré, who signed a new mega contract in Eindhoven last week.

In the front, despite his goal against Emmen, Bakayoko has to leave his place on the right flank to Saibari. The Spaniard was close to 1-2 in Monaco last week after the break, but saw his attempt go wide. Luuk de Jong and Cody Gakpo complete the vanguard of the Eindhoven team. The game against Monaco could be crucial for the future of the latter, who was linked to Manchester United on Tuesday afternoon.

Monaco will start almost with the same line-up as in the first leg, although Matazo is replaced by Diop. Matazo had a tough job with Sangaré in Monaco, so trainer Philippe Clement opts for Diop on Tuesday evening. Clement can once again not have Dutchman Myron Boadu in his match selection, while top talent Benoît Badiashile is also unavailable. The PSV match against the Monegasques starts on Tuesday evening at 8.30 pm and can be seen on ESPN.
