Royal Antwerp booked a simple victory in the Jupiler Pro League on Saturday evening. The team of coach Mark van Bommel won 0-2 at RFC Seraing thanks to hits from Jurgen Ekkelenkamp and Vincent Janssen. The visitors were helped in the saddle by a red card from Daniel Opare, who was sent off after just eleven minutes. Thanks to the three-pointer, Antwerp takes over second place from Union Sint-Gillis, which still has a game credit. Enforcement seems to be a difficult story for the gatekeeper Seraing.

At Antwerp, in addition to Janssen and Ekkelenkamp, Gyrano Kerk also started in the base. Toby Alderweireld and Calvin Stengs, among others, were missing due to injuries. The first threat of the match came from Arbnor Muja. The Kosovar saw goalkeeper Gillaume Dietsch make a good save. After Opare was the hero at first by clearing a header from William Pacho off the line, the central defender was a bit later the schlemiel. The Ghanaian brought down Janssen who had broken through and was sent off with a red card. It then took Antwerp only four minutes to open the score. Kerk gave in to Jelle Bataille, whose touched shot was promoted to goal by Ekkelenkamp: 0-1.

A few minutes later, Muja continued well in the box, after which he offered Janssen the opportunity to score the 0-2. The the Dutch striker did not fail. In the remainder of the first half, Muja, Gastón Ávila and Kerk had opportunities to further expand the lead, but they all encountered Dietsch. Even after the break, there was little going on for Antwerp. After an hour of play, Janssen served Muja, who had to see how Dietsch reached the ball earlier. Fifteen minutes before the end, Kerk seemed to be on its way to 0-3. The lightning fast attacker received the ball on a silver platter from Janssen, who saw that his indecisive compatriot was given too much time and space: opportunity lost. In the remaining ten minutes, Antwerp played the game professionally.
