Villarreal strengthened in the run-up to the current season on loan with Takefusa Kubo and el Submarino Amarillo seemed to have done good business with recruiting the Real Madrid talent. The nineteen-year-old Japanese, however, hardly appears in the plans of trainer Unai Emery and there is the Royal according to reports from Spain, not very happy about it.

Radio Marca reports Wednesday that the developments in Vila-real are being followed with suspicion from the Santiago Bernabéu. Kubo has played in all five LaLiga games that Villarreal has played so far this season, but spread over five short raids he was on the field for only 54 minutes in total.

According to reports, Real Madrid has been ‘unpleasantly surprised’ by the state of affairs in the Estadio de la Céramica. The reigning champion stole Kubo at Villarreal in order to let him gain experience with a good footballing team and sees little of this plan for the time being. The Madrid people would even consider recalling the dribbler in January if his situation does not improve.

It would not be the first time that Real Madrid has opted for such a scenario. In the past, goalkeeper Andriy Lunin was prematurely withdrawn from a rental period at Real Valladolid because he did not get to play there. The Ukrainian was then sent to Real Oviedo. Jesús Vallejo’s stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers was also cut off prematurely and the defender then joined Granada.
