Arek Milik has reached a dead end at Napoli. The club compiled a list of players on Wednesday for the remainder of the first half of the season in the Serie A and the Europa League; the striker is not included in both player groups. It means that he will in any case not take action until January. On Tuesday, Italian media reported that Milik’s role in Naples has been played out for the time being.

In the last transfer period Milik was heading for a departure from Napoli. The striker was in the spotlight of clubs like Valencia, Juventus, AS Roma and Fiorentina, but none of the transfers took place. Milik is now in his homeland Poland; he has been told by the club that there is no role for him in the team of trainer Gennaro Gattuso. It is also striking that Fernando Llorente does belong to the Serie A selection, but not to the shorter Europa League player list.

Milik has a contract until the end of the current season.
