Boavista and Brentford are very interested in the redundant Róbert Boženík at Feyenoord. That reports the usually reliable 1908.nl Wednesday afternoon. It was previously announced that the 22-year-old striker is in the interest of Hamburger SV, Hertha BSC, Sparta Prague, Slavia Prague and Ferencváros. Boženík is still in Rotterdam until mid-2024.

So there is enough interest in the Slovakian international. According to 1908.nl Boženík is only interested in a permanent transfer. Boavista seems to be a lot more concrete than Brentford, as striker Petar Musa has left for Benfica for five million euros. Boženík’s salary demands can still be a stumbling block, but the negotiations with Feyenoord would already be in the starting phase.

Boženík started his professional career at MSK Zilina, where he came in the limelight against Feyenoord with 19 goals in 58 official games. The club paid around four million for the striker in January 2020. However, Boženík was never able to convince in Rotterdam. In one and a half season, he scored 4 goals in 28 official games on behalf of Feyenoord, after which it was decided to temporarily store him at Fortuna Düsseldorf. In 21 official matches for Düsseldorf, he scored only 2 times. Boženík often had to make do with a role as a substitute.

In the striker position, Feyenoord was able to strike after the departure of Bryan Linssen (Urawa Reds) and Cyriel Dessers (Back to KRC Genk) with the transfer-free arrival of Danilo Pereira from Ajax. He is currently the first choice for Arne Slot. After that Slot can call on Boženík and Naoufal Bannis, who has returned from NAC Breda. Feyenoord hopes to attract seven more players in the coming weeks and also wants to strengthen itself in the vanguard. The name of Wilfried Gnonto of FC Zurich has been singing around in Rotterdam for weeks.
