Jean-Paul Boëtius will not be in action for the time being. Hertha BSC reports on the social channels that a tumor in the testicle was discovered in the Dutchman during a urological examination on Wednesday. The tumor will have to be surgically removed. More is unknown at this time.
Hertha further states that it will immediately report new developments. Boëtius will therefore be sidelined for the time being and it is not clear how long that will be the case. That seems to depend on the operation in which the tumor will have to be removed. The attacking midfielder-cum attacker signed with the club from Berlin this summer after he kept his condition up at Feyenoord. He was also allowed to play a number of times in practice matches from trainer Arne Slot.
