Wim Kieft does not think that Myron Boadu is suitable for the rush hour position at Ajax. The analyst particularly questions the qualities of the AZ attacker in the small space. Kieft also has a clear opinion about Zakaria Labyad, which is used by trainer Erik ten Hag as the deepest striker at Ajax. An incomprehensible decision, according to the former player of the Amsterdam club.

The alleged interest of Ajax in Boadu comes as a surprise to Kieft. “Boadu can only go to one club in the Netherlands. Maybe to PSV, but they can’t or won’t pay him”, is the opinion of the analyst in the studio of Veronica around AZ’s Champions League game with Dinamo Kiev. “But of course that’s not a player for Ajax, because he’s not good enough in the small room. He really has to go and walk, which he is doing great by the way”.

Kieft watched the past period with increasing amazement at the performances of Labyad in the rush hour position at Ajax. “I don’t understand at all that he was suddenly in rush hour”, the former Dutch national says without fail. “Ale you have so many possibilities and know in advance that there are better possibilities. Now it’s a shame for that guy to go out (against Sparta Rotterdam after the red card for Nicolás Tagliafico, ed.), but he’s the first one to go out”.

Please also let his light shine on the situation around Calvin Stengs, who seems to stay with AZ for at least another year. “Everyone sees that Stengs is potentially a great footballer. Only he still plays too often as a junior player.” There follows an explanation of the improvement points of the AZ attacker: “He is often not present, there are many moments in a game that you don’t see him. Then Stengs does something very sloppy again. He really still has to go on. I think it’s good for the boy, whether consciously or not, whether there were no other possibilities, that he will stay at AZ for another year.
