Neymar’s fears have come true. The star attacker of Paris Saint-Germain is not allowed to participate in the final of the Coupe de France against AS Monaco due to a yellow card in the semi-final against Montpellier (2-2, win after penalties). Neymar shows through his Instagram Stories that he is displeased with the decision to suspend him.

Neymar had a cold this week and therefore came on Wednesday in the semi-final against Montpellier in the 86th minute, when Montpellier had just made 2-2. Four minutes after his entrance, Neymar received a yellow card after he charged Teji Savanier, who had already cleared the ball, too late. Neymar still had a conditional suspension due to a red card earlier this season and is therefore suspended for the final. PSG won the game on penalties (5-6), the fifth of which was shot in by Neymar.

The Brazilian says on Instagram that he absolutely does not agree with the suspension. “I would like to look into the mind of whoever made the rules for the cards in France. That deserves applause, what a mess,” Neymar writes with a cynical undertone on Instagram. Shortly after the match, the attacker already showed his dissatisfaction through the same medium. “I play for five minutes, make a foul and immediately got a yellow card. Thanks for taking my place in the final.”
