Borussia Dortmund is fully committed to Bundesliga sensation Serhou Guirassy, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said via X on Friday afternoon.

The 28-year-old Guirassy is an absolute sensation this season with stunt team VfB Stuttgart. The Guinean international ran one-on-one in this Bundesliga season. In 28 matches, the goalkeeper scored as often and was the declarant three times.

Partly because of Guirassy's performance those Swabia finished in second place this season, which entitles them to Champions League football. For the first time since 2009/10, the club is back in the billion dollar ball.

The renowned Transfer market clearly illustrates how Guirassy's value has skyrocketed. At the beginning of this season, the striker was still worth fourteen million euros, but the website now estimates his value at forty million euros.

Fortunately for Borussia Dortmund, and unfortunately for Stuttgart, the Guinean's contract contains a release clause of between 17.5 and 18 million euros. That makes the transfer possible those Boruses even more attractive.

However, the German superpower is not the only one with a concrete interest in the goaltender. AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur were previously mentioned in the corridors. Perhaps Borussia Dortmund has the advantage here, as Sven Mislintat has returned to a technical position at the end of April BVB. The former technical director of Ajax helps sporting director Lars Ricken plan the selection. Last summer, the Amsterdammers also briefly showed interest in Guirassy's services.

Guirassy has been playing for Stuttgart since the 2022/23 season. At the time, the southern German club rented him from his actual employer Stade Rennes, after which he was permanently acquired by Stuttgart last summer for an amount of nine million euros. The Guinean previously played for Amiens SC, FC Köln, OSC Lille, AJ Auxerre and Stade Lavallois.
