Maurice Steijn has announced Ajax’s line-up for the exhibition match against FC Augsburg. The team from Amsterdam will take on the Bundesliga club on Saturday afternoon from 3 p.m. Steijn has reserved basic places for Benjamin Tahirovic and Kenneth Taylor, among others. Steven Bergwijn wears the captain’s armband.

What is striking is that Mohammed Kudus is again not present at Ajax. The winger annex attacking midfielder, who is associated with a departure, did not appear at training this week and is also absent against Augsburg. Ajax makes no further announcement about his absence. Edson Álvarez and Steven Berghuis are still not there either.

Taylor will probably start as number 10, with Branco van den Boomen and Tahirovic behind him. Mohamed Daramy is the right winger on duty. He has to supply Brian Brobbey. Bergwijn does that from the left. In the rear, Gerónimo Rulli sees a defense consisting of Devyne Rensch, Olivier Aertssen, Jorrel Hato and Owen Wijndal.

Setup Ajax: Rulli; Rensch, Aertssen, Hato, Wijndal; Tahirovic, Van den Boomen, Taylor; Daramy, Brobbey, Bergwijn.
