Antonio Conte has been annoyed by recent statements by Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann, who made no secret of his admiration for Harry Kane. However, Conte has no plans to sell his captain this summer.

German media recently linked Kane with a transfer to Bayern and saw him as a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski who left for Barcelona.BILD reported on Friday that Kane himself is not unsympathetic to a transfer to Germany. A transfer in the summer of 2023 seems the most logical, since the 28-year-old striker still has a one-year contract with Tottenham.

Nagelsmann refused to quell the speculation during a Bayern tour of the United States on Friday. “He (Kane, ed.) is incredibly expensive, that’s the problem,” said the Bayern coach. “But he is a great player. He is very strong, very good with his head and two legs. He could score a lot in the Bundesliga. I don’t know what the asking price is, but it will be difficult for Bayern. We will see what the future brings.”

Nagelsmann’s statements fell on Conte on Saturday. Spurs manager “I’m a coach who doesn’t talk about another club’s players,” the Italian coach told English media. “The situation at Tottenham is very clear and Harry is an important part of our project. If I want to achieve something, I don’t do it through the media. I also find that disrespectful to the other club.”
