PSV is surprisingly 1-2 behind at halftime of the match against Ajax. The match is full of opportunities, especially for the Amsterdam team. The PSV fans mainly point to André Ramalho as a scapegoat. The Brazilian did not look good at Brian Brobbey’s 1-2.

The analysts see an unrecognizable Ajax on Sunday afternoon. “Defensively it is still difficult at times, but they are playing really well, especially with the ball,” says Kees Kwakman. ESPN.

“They find the free man, Van den Boomen is playing a good match, I think. They are doing particularly well on the left side, where PSV is not putting pressure on. But they are also winning second balls and I see Taylor at a throw-in suddenly blocks his man.”

“There is life in it!” Kwakman concludes. Presenter Jan Joost van Gangelen then explains ‘bitten dog’ Ramalho. “‘Take him off,’ that’s what I hear from the audience.”

Kwakman agrees with the opinion of the PSV fans. “Marciano (Vink, also present as an analyst, ed.) had mentioned to Bosz in advance: how are you going to solve that? That is the key. And Ajax is doing very well.”

Brobbey vs. Ramalho
Kwakman believes that Brobbey also deserves credit. According to him, the Ajax striker’s strong performance is partly the reason for Ramalho’s weak turn. “He plays very well, but should have made at least one more.”

Vink agrees with his colleague. “You saw the irritation when he made the 1-2; he of course missed mega opportunities. The one with his left leg was almost scandalous that he missed it. If you are in such a difficult position as Ajax and you play football quite well, you have to strike at those moments when you get in front of the goal. Of course you don’t know whether you will get twenty more.”
