PSV has said goodbye to Luis Felipe, according to the official channels. The 21-year-old defender is moving to Cruzeiro in his native Brazil, which is mainly financially beneficial for PSV. The hefty salary for Felipe can be reinvested and a resale percentage has also been negotiated.

A few weeks ago it became clear that PSV would prefer to see Felipe close the door behind him in Eindhoven. As a non-EU player, the mandekker earned a high salary, while he had no prospect of much playing time in the first team. The people from Brabant wanted to get rid of him so badly that even a free departure was one of the possibilities, but it didn’t get that far. Cruzeiro now takes over Felipe and pays according to it Eindhovens Dagblad no transfer fee, but will transfer a percentage of any subsequent transfer fee to Eindhoven.

It is not clear how high that resale percentage is, but PSV can hope for a future financial windfall. This could somewhat cover the costs of his two-and-a-half-year stay in Eindhoven. The Brazilian eventually came to one game in the first of PSV and fourteen games on behalf of the promise team in the Kitchen Champion Division. In those duels he could not convince the Brabanters of his absolute added value.

The money that will become available in the salary house due to the imminent departure of Felipe, PSV will most likely invest in a new player. It Eindhovens Dagblad wrote earlier that after the arrival of Walter Benítez, Boy Waterman, Ki-Jana Hoever, Xavi Simons, Luuk de Jong and Guus Til, even more incoming transfers can be expected. A name that has been around in Eindhoven for some time is that of Savinho, but the status of that deal is unclear.
