Pablo Rosario is on his way to OGC Nice, reports Foot Mercato. The ambitious French club wants to complete the arrival of the 24-year-old midfielder from PSV in the coming days. Rik Elfrink from the Eindhovens Dagblad adds that Rosario has been seen on a flight to Nice. It is unclear what amount the people of Eindhoven will have left over from the sale of the single international, who will become a teammate of Calvin Stengs and Justin Kluivert in the south of France.

Rosario was a regular base player at PSV last season, but had to do it on Wednesday in the second qualifying round of the Champions League against Galatasaray (5-1 win) with a substitute of a few minutes. Based on the preparation and the last game, the midfielder seems to have been surpassed in the pecking order by Ibrahim Sangaré, Marco van Ginkel and Davy Pröpper. Rosario made his debut for PSV in 2016 and has made 138 official appearances for the club, scoring 5 times and providing 11 assists.

If the transition is finalized, Rosario will end up with a hyper-ambitious club. Nice was taken over by billionaire Jim Ratcliffe two years ago and has been building ever since. The club took over Christophe Galtier from Lille OSC, the club that led the trainer to the national championship last season. Nice transferred fifteen million euros to AZ for Stengs this summer, while Jean-Clair Todibo came over from Barcelona for eight million euros. Kluivert joined Nice on a rental basis and can be taken over from AS Roma through an option to buy for ten million euros.

It does not stop there for Nice, because in addition to Rosario, the club is also busy completing the transfer of Mario Lemina, reports Foot Mercato. The 27-year-old controlling midfielder comes from Southampton for four million euros, including bonuses. Lemina was passed by the Saints acquired from Juventus in 2017 for seventeen million euros, but failed to live up to expectations in the Premier League. In the past two years he played on loan at Galatasaray and Fulham respectively.
