Paris Saint-Germain is looking for a solution to meet the €60 million asking price that Manchester United are currently charging for Paul Pogba. According to Sky Sports the French superpower wants to say goodbye to midfielder Ander Herrera and goalkeepers Alphonse Areola and Sergio Rico. Pogba is said to have told Manchester United management last week that he does not intend to extend his contract at Old Trafford until 2022.

With the arrival of Georginio Wijnaldum, the chance of playing time for Herrera at PSG has shrunk considerably, it sounds like. The club therefore hopes to be able to sell the Spanish midfielder for a nice transfer amount in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer period. Due to the signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma and the presence of Keylor Navas, Aréola and Rico are also nominated to leave the Parc des Princes. They are not directly the top names in the selection of trainer Mauricio Pochettino, but nevertheless there is reportedly the necessary interest in the PSG goalkeepers.

Pochettino is very enamored with Pogba, who is identified by the Argentine coach as a top priority. He already brought in Donnarumma, Wijnaldum, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Ramos to Paris earlier this summer and the Manchester United midfielder fits perfectly with PSG’s ambition to add top players to the roster. In any case, Pogba has no appetite for contract extension. Sky Sports reported last week that the Frenchman’s contract proposal from the Red Devils has rejected.

Manchester United must now decide whether to sell Pogba or let him serve out his contract. The 28-year-old midfielder is the most expensive purchase in club history with a transfer fee of 105 million euros and a transfer-free departure would therefore mean a huge loss. There is according to Sky Sports There has been no contact between PSG and Manchester United about Pogba yet. The French top club is ready to take action, as it recently became clear.
