According to Romano, the talks between Leonardo and Simons management are currently in full swing. The arrival of Mauricio Pochettino, who succeeded Thomas Tuchel in Paris, who was fired in December, seems to be working out positively for Simons for the time being. The superpower from Paris will receive a visit from Barcelona next Wednesday, the club that the Dutchman exchanged for the adventure in France in 2019.

In the meantime Leonardo is working on several contract extensions in addition to Simons. Neymar and Kylian Mbappé are stuck in the Parc des Princes until 2022 and PSG wants to prevent the star players from leaving the door for free in more than a year at all costs. In addition, hard work is being done behind the scenes on a new contract for Ángel Di María, who will be out of his contract in a few months with the title favorite in the Champions League.
