Jose Mourinho is in the serious interest of Paris Saint-Germain, it reports Foot Mercato. The current coach of AS Roma could benefit from a possible dismissal of Christophe Galtier, who has to fear for his job due to disappointing results. Luís Campos, technical director at PSG, is said to have already contacted Mourinho.

That Galtier’s position is under pressure is an open secret. The coach has now lost three games in a row with PSG, including in the Champions League against Bayern Munich (0-1) and in the Coupe de France against Olympique Marseille (2-1). Galtier is reportedly given until early March to turn the tide in the French capital.

PSG’s Qatari owners have long been admirers of Mourinho, who was also in the running to fill the Portugal national team’s coaching vacancy until Roberto Martinez got the job. In the future, if Mourinho replaced Galtier on the sidelines of the Parc des Princes, he would be reunited with João Sacramento. Sacramento was previously Mourinho’s assistant at Tottenham Hotspur.

Mourinho is under contract with AS Roma until mid-2024, with whom he managed to conquer the Conference League last season. The Portuguese previously won the Europa League with Manchester United and has already held up the Champions League trophy twice. In 2004 with FC Porto and in 2010 with Internazionale. When PSG the Special One really wants to incorporate, it will have to pay compensation to AS Roma.
