The police in Brabant incurred the anger of the MVV Maastricht supporters on Friday evening. The fans were on their way to their club’s away game against NAC Breda when the police mistook them for Fortuna Sittard fans and were taken to Willem II’s stadium. Partly because of this, the game in the Kitchen Champion Division between MVV and NAC starts ten minutes later.

“On the way to Breda, a few of our supporters buses were taken off the road near Tilburg by the local police and brought to the Willem II stadium, because they were mistaken for Fortuna buses,” MVV writes on Twitter. “Please don’t let this happen again.” The late start of the match also had to do with the referee’s delay. Edwin van de Graaf got into a traffic jam on his way to Breda.
